Introducing Anne Beneteau and the HEIRS Memory Workshops

HEIRS is pleased to introduce a new workshop series led by Anne Beneteau, focused on helping individuals record and preserve their personal and family memories. Through guided sessions, participants will learn how to capture their stories—acts of courage, love, and everyday life—so they can be shared with future generations. As winter settles in and a new year begins, these workshops offer an inspiring opportunity to reflect on the past and ensure that our shared history continues to endure.

In this heartfelt reflection, writer Anne Beneteau shares the story of her husband Dennis, whose humour, creativity, and resilience continue to shine as he navigates life with Parkinson’s Disease. What began as a way to reconnect through storytelling became Tales from the Creek — a project celebrating memory, laughter, and legacy. This piece offers a glimpse into how rediscovering the simple joy of shared stories can bring light and connection to both those living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
